Owner/Outfitter
Brett Seng
For the past 23 years as a trout guide here in Montana's Gallatin Valley, I've carved out a niche as an outfitter offering a fully customized experience built around your skill level and goals for a well-rounded fly-fishing adventure in the Western Rockies.
From spring creeks and tailwaters to freestone rivers and mountain lakes, I build each trip around what you've envisioned or researched, and I always aim to over-deliver with a few fresh ideas along the way. The range of water we can explore is vast, and "Roam" is the word that best captures my style as an angler continually learning and appreciating the diverse fisheries of Montana.
At home, I'm fortunate to have the support of my wife, Ally, and our two incredible children, our son Waylon and daughter Letty. Our family is at the heart of my drive for a healthy work-life balance, and I feel lucky to still have genuine passion for connecting guests with Montana's remarkable waters.
When the season picks up, I work with a small crew of handpicked guides who share my standards and passion for these waters — so whether I'm in the boat or one of my guys is, you're getting the same experience.
I can accommodate up to eight anglers in total. I have trusted guides that I've worked with extensively, so please feel free to inquire about the rest of my team for a group trip.
Waters We Fish
Based in the Gallatin Valley of Southwest Montana, we get to fish some of the most diverse water in the West — and it's something we never take for granted. From classic freestone rivers to legendary tailwaters, intimate spring creeks, productive reservoirs, and carefully managed private waters, we tailor each trip to match the season, conditions, and what you're looking to get out of your time on the water. Whether you're chasing rising trout with dry flies or hunting larger, more aggressive fish with streamers, we'll put together a day that fits.
We regularly guide on iconic rivers like the Gallatin, Yellowstone, Madison, Jefferson, Boulder, and Missouri, each with its own character and challenges. Freestone systems like the Gallatin, Yellowstone, Boulder, and upper Madison offer fast water, structure-rich runs, and visual dry-fly opportunities. Tailwaters like the Missouri and lower Madison deliver consistent flows, dense trout populations, and some of the most technical nymph and dry-fly fishing in the region. Spring creeks and private waters round things out with low-pressure environments and exceptional sight-fishing when conditions align.
Beyond rivers, we have access to reservoirs and select private fisheries that open up opportunities during runoff, shoulder seasons, or when you just want something different. Whether we're floating a big Western river, wading a quiet spring creek, or exploring stillwater for trophy trout, flexibility and time well spent on the water are what drive every trip we put together. Southwest Montana is home, and our goal is to give you an authentic, high-quality fishing experience across its finest waters.
